About Dr. Feigin:

 Dr. Kristina Feigin, DVM, is the proud owner of Advanced Veterinary Dental Center. A Board-Certified Veterinary Dentist and Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC), she has also completed advanced fellowship training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Feigin has been dedicated to caring for pets since 2001. She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, followed by a small animal medicine and surgery internship. After spending ten years in general practice, she pursued advanced specialty training in veterinary dentistry and oral surgery. She completed her residency in Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery in 2019 and went on to complete a fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2026, providing her with advanced expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex oral, dental, and maxillofacial conditions.

Learning Objectives:

-Describe the pathophysiology, terminology, and classification of tooth resorption in dogs and cats.
-Recognize clinical signs and diagnostic findings associated with tooth resorption, including the role of dental radiography.
-Identify current treatment options and appropriate case selection for extraction versus crown amputation.
-Discuss current theories regarding the causes, progression, and management of this common dental diseases
